First Your Change, Now This

Have you ever used a Coinstar Machine at the grocery store? You know the nifty machine that saves you from having to count all your change and roll it all up so you can spend it without feeling like a 7 headed freak? I always liked those machines, and despite the fact you had to pay a nominal fee (usually 6-8%) it was worth it to help the teller at the bank not lose her mind. Now this machine has a cousin.

The ecoATM is a machine that will take your out dated, unwanted, or broken cell phones. It assigns a value (or lack of value) to the phone and provides you with something in return…and it doesn’t cost a thing. They have already started trials with the ecoATM in Nebraska and it will soon be rolling out across the country.
