Most Meaningful Recycling EVER | USS New York

USS New York

The most meaningful act of recycling in American history is complete and on the move. The USS New York gave a 21 gun salute across from ground zero today to commemorate those lost during the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Fifteen thousand pounds of the mangled steel left after the horrific attacks was used to make a bow stem for the USS New York.

It is amazing to think the wreckage of the World Trade Centers is sliceing through the water in front of our newest addition to the Navy Fleet.

I personally want to thank every soldier, fire fighter, police officer, EMT, and all of their mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, children, and siblings. With out you we are not America. Thank you!
